The CW has ordered a pilot for another DC Comics live action series.

The Hollywood Reporter and others have revealed that Batwoman writers Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams are writing the pilot for the series Gotham Knights. The series will not be a spinoff of Batwoman and is not based on the upcoming Warner Brothers video game. The pilot is being produced by Berlanti Productions.

According to the THR reporting; Following the murder of Bruce Wayne, his rebellious adopted son forms an alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they’re all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. With Gotham as dangerous as it’s ever been, the group of fugitives could be the city’s next saviors.

My relationship with the DC Comics shows on The CW is hit or miss at the best of times, but I don’t know what to make of this premise. From what it sounds like, Robin is going to team up with the children of Batman’s enemies to save the city? Why? Which enemies? Why them specifically? What do either Robin or Gotham gain from this?

What do you think of the Gotham Knights premise? Let me know in the comments.
