The Rundown: The origin of the mysterious Noxton stone is revealed.
A hole opens in the sky and an object crash lands in the spot that will soon be surrounded by the town of Noxton. Simon and Honoria find themselves trapped in a vision created by the stone years later where they finally discover the origin of the stone and where it actually came from. A revelation they will take with them when the vision is over.
As they confront the townspeople preparing to sacrifice them at the stone, they reveal the truth. As the townspeople begin to question everything they believed, the local minister attempts to regain control. A move that will prove the truth has power.
The Story: Roberson brings this story to a satisfying conclusion. The plot is entertaining and the reveals are intriguing. I like the subtlety of the final moments of the story and how those moments depend on the understanding of others rather than some huge battle or dramatic action.
The Art: Mutti delivers some beautiful art in the issue. I love the first few pages and how they frame the arrival of the stone as well as the moments within the vision where Simon and Honoria are shown the truth.
