The Rundown: Simon and Honora find the truth about the town they’ve come to investigate.
Simon and Honora are investigating the Stone Circle when Simon’s friend Lowell suddenly appears. Not seeming to recognize Simon, Lowell runs from the area and meets a tragic end. With more questions that need answers, Simon and Honora return to the town and split up.
Simon finds himself being attacked by a couple of locals and gets a last minute assist from Honora who shows him that there is definitely something wrong with the town. Something that will force them to head back into the windows and confront not only a powerful cult, but an even stranger mystery behind it.
The Story: Roberson ramps up the tension and terror in this issue as the story moves to its conclusion. The story has some great dialogue between Simon and Honora. Honora has some fantastic moments throughout the issue and I continue to be impressed with her character and how it is utilized. The story comes to a great cliffhanger ending that made me excited because it was so unexpected. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Mutti delivers some beautifully detailed and moody art in the issue. The visuals perfectly capture the emotion and tone of the story.
