The Rundown: Wanda and Vision are alone in a fight against the Twilight Court.
With the rest of the Avengers trapped in their dreams by Nightmare, Wanda and Vision stand alone against the Twilight Court who have come to Earth to retrieve Kang the Conqueror.
As the two Avengers attempt to stop the Court from claiming their prize, Wanda attempts to help her friends fight off Nightmare in his realm, but he will only release the team for a price. At the same time, a member of the court stands aside while the battle rages waiting for his chance to strike.
The Story: MacKay does a great job of giving the reader more context for the characters in the Court and that helps better engage with them as characters and their motivations. There is some great tension in the story with Wanda and Vision trying to battle the entire court themselves while their friends look for an escape. I like the progression of the story a lot and how it doesn’t let up with both the tension and action.
The Art: Villa delivers some beautifully detailed and dynamic art in the issue. Blee provides a wonderful color palate for the action and characters as well.
