The Rundown: T’Challa travels to a new dimension to begin a revolution.
After bringing down the Ashen Combine, Black Panther travels to another dimension and discovers the reality of one of the worlds they used to control. After learning the truth about the power vacuum left behind, Black Panther decides to strategize with some of the locals to learn more about the gangs that have taken over as well as why they cannot leave.
Black Panther decides to find a way to unite the people while also bringing down the gangs one by one. As he finds her people to lead, the king without a nation begins to ponder who or what he is really fighting for.
The Story: MacKay crafts an entertaining story in this issue. I like seeing Black Panther in an element that seems suited to who he is a character and leader. I like the duality of his motivations in liberating the people he is surrounding himself with and how the complications of his own personal journey are affecting his mission. It’s an engaging and entertaining experience from start to finish.
The Art: Karami crafts some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the how gritty and detailed the environments are.
