The Rundown: The Avengers race against time to stop a suicidal hero from destroying the Earth.
Hyperion is on a collision course with Earth traveling at a speed that will effectively destroy the planet and the Avengers cannot determine where he is. At the same time, Storm is still deciding on whether or not to join the team, but she does know how they can find Hyperion in deep space.
Utilizing the powers of the X-Men and Doctor Strange, the Avengers come up with a plan to stop Hyperion. Unfortunately, their plan will be a lethal one for the former hero. That is, unless Vision can find another way to stop Hyperion and prevent destruction on a global scale.
The Story: MacKay crafts a story with beautifully intense and engaging tension. I love the countdown clock and how it adds a sense of immediacy to the actions of every character in the issue. There is a wonderfully dark intensity to the suspense in the story and everything leads to a fantastic moment for both the city and Hyperion that showcases the brilliance of Vision.
The Art: Schiti delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the character designs a lot. The imagery brilliantly captures the darkness and tension of the story.
