The Rundown: Captain America and his team battle Baron Blood and his vampires to rescue civilians.
Baron Blood has been revealed as the Nazi vampires kidnapping civilians throughout the city battle Steve Rogers and his small team of Avengers. As Cap takes on Blood, the rest of the team works on freeing the civilians and getting them to safety as they battle hordes of vampires throughout the helicarrier.
Steve fights to keep Blood busy and the rest of the team discovers that there are more civilians on the ship than they previously realized and Captain America discovers that Blood has a small army of vampires in reserve that he is ready to unleash.
The Story: MacKay delivers an action packed and thrilling adventure in this issue. I really enjoy this arc and how Captain America rallies not only his troops but has command of the situation. There is great action throughout the issue and I really enjoyed the lively pacing and thrills the story offers. The team is an interesting mix and their interactions are fun. I also really enjoyed the inclusion of Baron Blood and how his aims are unique to his character. It’s going to be interesting to see where this goes next.
The Art: Villa offers amazing art throughout the issue. The visuals are beautifully detailed and perfectly capture the rousing action and thrills of the story.
