The Rundown: The Avengers begin their assault on Orchis.
Tony Stark meets with the rest of the Avengers in the Impossible City and reminds them about his plans for Orchis before everyone suits up and begins Iron Man’s plans to topple Orchis with a series of strategic attacks around the world. With each Avenger using their unique skills and training, Orchis bases all over the globe begin to topple from the small strike teams.
At the same time, M.O.D.O.K. contacts an Orchis asset who has been predicting this very plan. An asset with his own beef against the Avengers and the foresight to have a plan to neutralize them and their new orbiting base of operations.
The Story: MacKay delivers on what I have been waiting on as a reader. With everything happening with the mutants, I was waiting to see how the Avengers would step in and it is handled brilliantly to play on their strengths individually and as a team. I like the side story as well with their newest threat and his connection to the team. It will be interesting to see what happens next with his plans for the Avengers and their response to it.
The Art: Mortarino delivers some great art in the issue. There is a lot of action throughout this issue and every moment is given wonderful visual flair.
