The Rundown: An airport in the middle of a snow storm will receive an unexpected visitor.
A dangerous storm is moving into the area and Mac is told that the small airport he works at will be receiving a diverted plane. After suiting up and heading to work, he gathers his team to clear the runway and make accomodations for the passengers and crew landing during the storm. After getting them sorted, another plane appears and crashes.
After rescuing one member of the crew, Mac and the others move him into another area. After the power goes out and everyone becomes stuck in the airport, Mac and the others discover they have another situation to deal with when the crash victim becomes something inhuman.
The Story: Haun and Hurley craft a classic horror story with this first issue and I am intrigued. I love the build up throughout the story and the characters, especially Mac. The story has a great sense of environment, place and tension. I really enjoyed the progression of the story and this first issue makes me excited to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Hervas and Caballero deliver some impressive visuals that perfectly capture the dangerous environment of the story and engages the reader visually in its world.
