The Rundown: Ben Reilly fights to take down Beyond, but will have to confront Peter and an unknown future.

Ben Reilly is struggling both mentally and physically as he deals with a jumble of memories that he cannot trust and opposition from the Slingers who he trusts even less. While Maxine tries to minimize the damage, things get more complicated when Peter arrives at the Beyond Corporation looking for Ben. When Ben finally confronts Maxine, she tells him that the only way he can get back his missing memories is from the source of them, Peter Parker.

As Peter infiltrates the Beyond Corporation, he finds himself squaring off against Ben who wants what Peter has. At the same time, Marcus prepares for his reckoning after a final goodbye from Maxine and receives a last minute save from an unexpected source. Unfortunately, it might be too late to stop Beyond’s plans or its effects on Spider-Man.

The Story: There is a lot going on in this story and every part of it works for both the characters and the arc. Ben’s journey continues to be compelling and the resolution of his work with Beyond and Maxine make for some great drama that makes me interested in what happens to the character next. There are some great moments for Peter as well and the resolution of his story leads to an interesting cliffhanger that makes me excited. This was a great issue that was worth reading from start to finish.

The Art: Gleason delivers some dynamic, visually impressive art on every page of this issue. There is great action, drama and emotion to be found in the imagery.
