The Rundown: Queen Goblin continues to terrorize the Bugle, but is Peter strong enough to stop her?
Queen Goblin makes her fiery and murderous debut and the head of the Beyond Corporation couldn’t be happier at her violent exit from the building. At the same time, Peter continues his recovery keeping to himself the fact that his physical therapy has been increased with the help of Black Cat and Captain America. Unfortunately, his recovery takes a back seat when the news reveals a goblin attacking the Daily Bugle.
Felicia decides he needs more time to heal and heads out to face the Goblin on her own and makes it just in time to rescue Mary Jane from certain death. After hearing about what happened with Ben, Felicia realizes quickly that she’s on her own. After Goblin uses a new and dangerous power, Felicia finds herself being rescued by an unexpected face. One who has more than one person to save this night.
The Story: Gleason crafts an entertaining, action-packed story in this issue. Queen Goblin is an interesting villain with an ability that sets her apart from other villains and makes her that much more dangerous to them, especially Black Cat. I like seeing Peter struggle with his responsibility while his friends try to keep him on the path of healing and the surprises in the story make it fun and exciting.
The Art: Mark Bagley delivers some fantastic visuals throughout the issue. The art is lively, beautifully detailed and filled with great imagery.
