The Rundown: Peter Parker’s recovery is interrupted by a series of missing patients and he might be next.

With Peter’s condition getting better, he’s been moved from the ICU to another room. A room with a roommate named Rico who likes to talk. After his roommate is taken away, Peter finds that he can’t sleep and Mary Jane comes to check up on him. When Rico’s wife stops by to see him and realizes he’s missing, she’s told that he was never a patient. Peter knows something is wrong, but he is in no condition to investigate.

When another patient is brought into the room with him, Peter realizes something is wrong with the orderly who comes to take her away as well. Peter quickly discovers that the orderly is more than what he appears to be and when he becomes the next person to be taken away, he quickly discovers that he might not be coming back. At the same time, Colleen and Misty find themselves hunting a familiar face in the sewers beneath the city.

The Story: Ahmed crafts a beautiful, dark story for Peter in this issue. There is great tension throughout and the plot has a brilliant mix of action of horror throughout. I really enjoyed the mystery elements of the story and the pacing was brilliant. Ahmed utilizes Mary Jane perfectly in the story as well and it gives great depth to their relationship.

The Art: Fornes brilliantly delivers dark mystery with the visuals in the issue. The style is perfect for this type of story and I loved the use of shadow throughout the issue.
