The Rundown: As Peter clings to life, Aunt May reaches out to an unexpected person for help.
Peter continues to lie in a coma and it has become routine for May to sit at his bed side and hold vigil. With the realization that the doctors trying to save Peter don’t have any idea how, she decides that she needs a different kind of help to save her nephew. Help in the form of Otto Octavius. After meeting with Otto, the pair begin investigating the area where Peter was injured looking for clues that might help find a cure.
After returning to Otto’s lair, he asks if May is ready to take the next step in the investigation. When their evidence leads to a location, Otto suits up to track down a sample of the chemicals that are affecting Peter. Their adventure will lead them to a super-villain holding facility and no small level of personal danger as May decides to do whatever it takes to save her nephew.
The Story: Ziglar crafts an entertaining and often humorous story in this issue. Giving May her own adventure offers a unique look at the character and her history with Octavius makes the story even more interesting given the character relationships. I like the progression of the story as well as its ties to the Beyond Corporation. I cannot wait to see what happens now that Otto has them on his hit list.
The Art: All three artists bring vibrant, fun and beautifully detailed visuals to the story.
