The Rundown: Spider-Man and Mary Jane team up to stop a breakout at Ravencroft.
Peter continues to find his personal life in shambles, but takes comfort in being able to work with his ex Mary Jane to fight crime in the city. At the same time, Anna Watson continues to make friends at Ravencroft as the Sinister Six decide to break out Sandman.
Octavius decides to send in Electro to bring back their wayward partner and discovers that the released prisoners are following the lead of an unlikely inspiration.
The Story: Wells crafts an entertaining and unexpectedly fun story in this issue. The relationship tension between Peter and Mary Jane is slightly tiresome at this point, but it’s tolerable for the sake of the story. The Sinister Six storyline has some potential and it’s enough of a draw to keep me engaged with the series.
The Art: Carnero delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals are one of the main draws for me as a fan of the character and this issue delivers some great visual moments.
