The Rundown: The hunt is over and Kraven is gone. As his son grieves, his anger will push him to seek answers.
In the aftermath, Spider-Man races from the park to make sure that the visions he had under Kraven’s influence haven’t come true. He races through the city desperate to get to the woman he loves and his arrival at her home leads to an ominous discovery.
As the rest of the heroes of the Marvel universe clean up the mess Kraven left, Vulture decides to form a new team. Black Ant finds himself surrounded by the villains he helped capture for Arcade. Black Cat returns Billy to his mother as Lizard wakes up alone in the forest. Dangers still lurk in the city and both Kraven’s son and a familiar face decide that the time for them to enact their next plans is now.
The Story: Nick Spencer writes a satisfying ending to the Hunted storyline and makes Peter’s journey to find Mary Jane both tense and terrifying. Spencer is able to convey the fear and panic in Peter as he narrows his focus to finding his love. Not only does the epilogue do a great job of tying up the loose ends, but it also opens up new and interesting stories to come.
The Art: Ryan Ottley’s art is breathtaking as he conveys the action and movement of Peter’s desperate journey. A great looking issue from start to finish.
