The Rundown: Peter decides to take a trip with Felicia and discovers a new gang of villains with familiar tech.
Peter has decided to move on with his life and part of that decision involves exploring his relationship with Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat. After taking down some bad guys, Felicia invites Peter to a romantic weekend in the mountains. Unfortunately, Mary Jane and her husband have the same idea and the four end up at the same location.
An earthquake breaks the awkwardness and Spider-Man and Black Cat go to investigate only to discover a new version of the Sinister Six using similar tech and chasing after White Rabbit. In the aftermath of their encounter, Peter and Felicia discover the true motivation behind the fight, but the innocent seeming venture will result in real life death.
The Story: A fun, light story with some great humor and tension throughout. The Spidey/Black Cat dynamic continues to be fun and unique and I like seeing Peter relax a little bit and embrace the experience. The villain element had a fun twist to it and I like seeing how the story progresses into a moment that brings it back down to Earth in an interesting fashion. I look forward to seeing what happens next for the characters.
The Art: Dodson delivers magic on every page of the issue. There is a beautiful harmony to the art and a sense of movement that dances with the eye. I loved every panel and page.
