The Rundown: Peter faces off against Ben who has a dangerous ace up his sleeve.
Ben Reilly wants his memories back and the ones he has are unreliable as he faces off against Peter i the streets of the city. As both battle it out, Ben shows Peter that he’s learned some new tricks. Ones that will keep Spider-Man on his toes.
At the same time, Maddy and Hallow’s Eve begin the next part of their plan using Venom as a means of distracting the X-Men while they make their way into their headquarters. As Peter is pushed to his limits, he is shown that his friends have been taken by Ben. Taken to a place where Peter will be subjected to a living nightmare.
The Story: Wells delivers a great, action packed story in this issue. I liked the banter between Peter and Ben and how his scattered memories are informing his decisions. The story has some entertaining moments throughout and I enjoyed the ending a lot.
The Art: McGuiness delivers some beautifully detailed art on every page of the issue. The visuals are lively and visually engaging.
