Telltale Games, makers of interactive games based on popular franchises like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones is gearing up to take you to the Upside Down.
Both Netflix and Telltale Games have confirmed that the developer is working on a new game based on the world created by the Duffer Brothers. Netflix has already teamed with publisher Penguin Random House to produce a series of Stranger Things books so a game series would be the logical next step to expand the potential franchise.
Separately, we’re thrilled to confirm that Telltale is developing a game based on Stranger Things that we’ll publish to consoles and computers at a later date. (2/3)

“The Stranger Things project is being published by Telltale at a later date, not on the Netflix service,” the company said. “It’s part of our marketing and title promotion efforts.”
No release date has been given for the new game or details on when the story in the game will take place in relation to the series.
The next season of Stranger Things is currently filming with an eye towards a 2019 release date.
