The Rundown: The Titans face off against Red X in an attempt to save Dane.
The story begins with Donna and Rae discussing an apocalyptic vision of the future. The story the shifts to the past. Two months ago, Red X reviews plans with someone mysterious in regard to Dane and his transformation.
In the present, The Titans battle Red X in an attempt to stop an out of control Dane. As the Titan’s Tower is threatened, the team is soon aided by the Shazam family. Soon, Billy discovers a way to assist Dane and leads him somewhere unexpected. Finally, the Titans turn their efforts to rescuing the teens from the Titan’s Tower.
The Story: Sheridan creates an interesting narrative surrounding the Titans. I was especially surprised by the inclusion of the Shazam family. I like how this series brings together a multitude of characters to assist the group, and how it follows through with its world building. I am curious to find out what happens in the next episode.
The Art: The artwork in this issue features a modern and realistic design. The drawings are extremely detailed including both character and background features. Bold colorwork fills the pages and gives the panels a glossy, yet natural look. Overall, I found this to be a good-looking edition that includes some nice action scenes.
