Taking Back the Earth in Godzilla: Monster Planet Trailer

Toho Entertainment and Netflix are bringing a new vision of the classic monster Godzilla to the streaming service later this year.

Godzilla: Monster Planet is set in the year 2048. In the near future, humanity is forced to leave the planet due to the constant attacks from Godzilla and other giant monsters. The remaining humans travel the stars to a planet called Tau Ceti E. When they arrive, they discover that the planet is now uninhabitable. As the movement grows to return to Earth, the ship and its crew find an Earth 20,000 years in the future with Godzilla sitting at the top of the food chain.
