The Rundown: Dill attempts to locate and speak to Paprika as she attempts to move forward with her romantic life.
Dill and Rue are on a plane to Italy and Rue finally gets some answers on who Dill really is and what he really seems to want with his life and relationship with Paprika. At the same time, Paprika has a new sense of confidence and decides to come clean with Za’atar. A move that will allow her to finally start to enjoy her time there. A move that will also give Burnet another way to mess with her psychologically.
Dill arrives and decides to pull Paprika aside and talk to her. As they both begin to explore their feelings, one of them will have a change of heart that could lead to both having experiences they might regret later.
The Story: Andolfo continues to craft a sexy, fun, funny and layered story in this issue. Between the comedic hijinks, the story continues to take some great dramatic twists and turns as it explores the human condition. The characters continue to be brilliantly flawed and incredibly appealing. The story is both wonderfully amusing and tense often at the same moment. I can’t wait to see where it goes after its cliffhanger ending.
The Art: Andolfo has a wonderful visual eye and the art beautifully captures every change in tone, mood and circumstance.
