The Rundown: Beneath the fortress of solitude, Kara will find herself the target of two villains schemes.
Kara is trapped beneath the Fortress with Brainiac-1’s nanobots fooling her into believing she is fighting for her life. At the same time, another battle rages overhead with the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight going up against the infected heroes of the Secret Six.
After entering the fight to stop her infected friends from killing Kal and Bruce, Kara grabs the batarang headed towards her cousin. Unfortunately, Kara becomes one of the infected and decides that she’s going to have some fun with the world.
The Story: Coming off the confrontation with Brainiac-1, throwing Kara into another storyline with the Batman Who Laughs and the infected just feels like too much too fast. Andreyko does a good job of keeping the story interesting and the action lively, but the momentum he built with the last issue has been lost with Kara being plunged into another story.
The Art: Pansica’s art is fantastic. It’s the saving grace of this issue. All of the characters look amazing and the action is filled with energy. I love how this issue looks, but I wish the story was more focused.
