The Rundown: Nocturna and Peacemaker make plans while Amanda Waller goes after a new recruit.

Superboy’s history and motivations are discussed between several people. Peacemaker makes a request from Nocturna, and Waller gives Culebra a special assignment. Later, Waller sends Task Force X to capture a new recruit. Then, Superboy does something surprising.
The Story: Thompson has created an interesting and compelling narrative. Amanda Waller is a character that I love to hate. I enjoy the fact, that in a series full of villains, the most dangerous and vile is a government agent. Her manipulation and dogged oppression of her team is both twisted and ruthless. I’m curious to see how she deals with certain characters going forward.
The Art: Detailed drawings are highlighted by a cool toned palette. The character expressions and action sequences are well done. This is an exciting issue that really transported me further into the story.
