The Rundown: Yoon seeks help with the string attached to her and it leads to a dangerous confrontation.
After discovering that she has a string connected to her that means either she will kill someone or be killed herself, Yoon breaks into Luke’s apartment to seek his help. After he wakes up and the two of them talk, Yoon tells him of multiple possible suspects connected to cases she’s working.
As the two of them leave his apartment, Yoon is attacked by a woman in her car and a chase ensues. A chase that reveals that the woman might not be the one they’re looking for. As things continue to get darker, Yoon reveals that there might be a suspect within the police force before they go to her place where they might not be alone.
The Story: Tobin crafts an entertaining and consistently interesting story with a great premise. The story has some great characters and a great mix of humor and action throughout. I like the two lead characters a lot and the world building throughout the issue is brilliantly done. I am invested in the mystery of this series and look forward to seeing where the story goes next after the awesome cliffhanger it ends on.
The Art: Olivares delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. I like the character designs a lot and the visuals beautifully enhance the tone and humor of many of the story moments.
