The Rundown: The team finds themselves fighting a mad scientist for the souls of the dead and Wiccan discovers something about their Vridai guest.
Ghost is brought into a local hospital to oversee the IT functions of a clandestine experiment to harness the bodies of the recently deceased by Moonstone. Her experiments have caught the attention of the Strikeforce team and they spring into action to both free the souls of the dead and stop, not destroy their attacking, undead bodies. A prospect that goes against Blade’s nature.
At the same time, Helstrom and Wiccan find themselves guarding the unconscious Vridai prince. When they discover that he has disappeared, they go on the hunt only to find the scared being hiding and unaware of the actions being taken in his name.
The Story: A good story that continues to make this team interesting in both its makeup and execution. Tini Howard crafts an entertaining issue that plays to the strengths of the characters and infuses the plot with enough humor to keep it from getting too dark. There is some great dialogue between the characters and I like the final moments at Ravencroft a lot.
The Art: Jacopo Camagni delivers some great art in this issue. The style is light and fun, but filled with detail.
