The Rundown: A group of heroes find themselves part of a new team tasked with stopping a threat that needs to stay hidden.
At a government facility, a mystery group has stolen some of the most virulent diseases known to man. When the Avengers make their way to the scene, they discover that the perpetrators of the crime are a group of friends including Winter Soldier, Spider-Woman, Angela, Wiccan and Monica Rambeau.
After being taken into custody by the Avengers, Blade slips into tell them that what has happened to them and to offer them the opportunity to track down and stop the threat that has connections to many of them on the team. When they make their way into an underground lair, they find the source and discover that stopping it will be tougher than they thought.
The Story: Tini Howard assembles an interesting new team and the eclectic nature and makeup of this group make this story intriguing to read. It’s paced perfectly and the story moves smoothly from moment to moment. The characters are great and I am interested in seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Peralta offers some impressive and beautiful art in this issue. So many of the panels are amazingly rendered and the characters look amazing.
