The Rundown: The circumstances that brought the group of strays together is explored.
Killer is worried about someone coming to his house. Worried that the monster will come. He is relieved when his lady arrives along with her friend. Gucci is a social media darkling whose missing master prompts her audience to reach out. Aldo finds a mysterious item in the backyard of the house when he looks for something to trade for another item.
Henry’s life has its ups and downs in the form of the cat who torments him. When the moment that changed his life occurs, the cat has a change of heart. Imogene is a sweet, active dog whose brush with tragedy will darken her spirit. Roxanne will have a bad feeling when she and her master have a run in with another dog owner harboring a dark secret.
The Story: Fleecs skillfully takes the reader back to the world of Stray Dogs by showcasing the stories of the other dogs in the pack before they were brought together. I like the misdirection of the first story and how engaging the rest of the stories are. I love the subtle hints of what’s to come for the dogs and cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Forstner delivers some great visuals throughout the issue. I continue to be in awe at the style of the art and how it perfectly contrasts the dark nature of the story.
