The Rundown: Things come to a head when Alanna confronts Adam demanding the truth.

Adam Strange returns home after a day of fighting and finds an angry Alanna demanding the truth about their missing daughter. Adam is both dismissive and defensive but Alanna will not be swayed. Their heated exchange exposes the lies that she’s been forced to tell to the whole world and her resolve to tell the Justice League the truth will lead to a violent altercation that will change their relationship forever.

Meanwhile in the past back on Rann, Adam recalls the final compromise that he makes with another alien race to end the threat of the Pykkt. After securing the help of the Moorm, Adam and Alanna race off to the final stronghold of the enemy forces to put an end to the war.

The Story: Tom King brings everything in the story into focus in this issue. There is a palpable level of tension in every scene between Adam and Alanna and the story brilliantly contrasts that moment to their time on Rann. The tension in the plot ramps up the drama and every moment is engaging. I continue to be impressed with the depth of this story and every moment had me on the edge of my seat. I cannot wait to see how this story resolves.

The Art: Both Gerads and Shaner continue to deliver brilliant and beautiful imagery throughout this issue. The different styles continue to both brilliantly contrast and complement each other on every page.
