The Rundown: While the students prepare for an oncoming storm, Emily prepares to bring one of her own.
It’s getting close to finals for the students of Strange Academy and everyone from the faculty to the student body are preparing for a storm getting ready to make landfall in New Orleans. A storm that will bring the students together with the local community to prepare for what’s coming.
At the same time, Emily makes her plans to destroy Strange Academy alongside Dormmamu. When Iric begins to show remorse for what they are about to do, he finds himself under attack. An attack that will force him to make a difficult decision about who he sides with.
The Story: Young weaves an entertaining tale in this issue. The character relationships continue to be compelling and I enjoy seeing these characters grow and evolve through their experiences. Young does a great job of showing how their external influences can change who they are and every element of the story works while delivering some great growing tension throughout.
The Art: Ramos delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The world of these characters continues to be bright and visually vibrant with panels and pages filled with beautiful details.
