The Rundown: Storm gets a momentary reprieve from her fate and decides to spend it with friends.
After visiting Doctor Voodoo to get help with her condition, he manages to find a way to cure her of the radiation within her among other things, but that cure comes at a price. Unable to use her powers, she decides to pay a visit to Rogue and her team to spend time with loved ones. Time she will also use to work on her combat skills with Logan. A move that will lead to some unexpected complications.
After receiving a message from Doom in his role as the new Sorcerer Supreme, Storm is invited to Latveria. A trip she will decide to take in order to determine what Doom wants with mutants and what his possible plans are for the world.
The Story: Ayodele continues to create an interesting and engaging story for fans of Storm. I like seeing her travel to different parts of the Marvel universe as the story showcases her relationships with others. Her return to the X-Men was a great moment and the dynamic between Ororo and Logan has always been an intriguing one to me. One that was explored well in this issue. I like the deliberate pace of this story and how it continues to build on itself in ways that keep me engaged and wanting to see more.
The Art: Werneck delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The visuals are stunning both with the characters and the environments.
