The Rundown: Storm finds herself dealing with a ticking clock on her life as her illness gets worse.
Off the coast of Nigeria, a cargo ship finds itself under attack by pirates. Pirates who find themselves stopped by the fury of Storm. Unfortunately, her condition is causing her extreme pain and the Captain of the rescued vessel is not at all forgiving in the wake of the reveal she made to the public.
With things getting exponentially worse for Ororo, she decides to use her Avengers status to find a hidden hospital used by super powered individuals and finds an unusual doctor with a problem with the X-Men. A problem that will send her on a dangerous mission to find a magical means of helping her while time begins to run out.
The Story: Ayodele crafts an intense and thoughtful story for Ororo in this issue. It starts with great action that showcases the power of the character and then transitions to showing her humanity as she faces a dire personal issue. I really love the focus on Storm throughout this issue and what she encounters along her journey right up to the intense and engaging reveal at the end of the issue.
The Art: Werneck delivers visually stunning art throughout the issue and I love the beauty in every moment from the fights to the quiet human moments. Everything looks amazing.
