The Rundown: The Starsigns continue their escape from Duke and Cathy discovers what he’s truly after.
After giving the other Starsigns a chance to escape, Cathy is captured by Duke and the others while her new friends go into hiding and contemplate what they need to do next. They decide to spend some time contacting the people they love to let them know they’re safe. Unfortunately, Rana can’t bring herself to contact anyone.
After separating for a short time in the park, two of them will discover another Starsign while Duke shows Cathy exactly why he wants to capture the others. Something his newest recruit sees and something that puts all of them in danger.
The Story: Ahmed slows down the action in this issue to give the characters a moment of reflection and that pace works well for the story and the reader. I like seeing the characters interact more and their desperation with their situation. In contrast, I really enjoy how the revelations of Duke’s real plan play out and how it can cause rifts with his own Starsigns.
The Art: Levens delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals are engaging and every page and panel draws in the reader.
