The Rundown: Yoda’s presence with the Scalvi will have some unexpected and dark consequences.
Yoda returns to meet with some fellow members of the Jedi order and talk about his time with the Scalvi. His fellow Jedi wonder when he is going to return to Coruscant, but the master has no intentions of leaving anytime soon as the villagers still have to deal with the threat of the Crulkon raiders. At the same time, the Scalvi continue to build their defenses, train and wonder when the next attack will come.
After Yoda returns to continue their training, an attack will leave the villagers scrambling and when they discover Yoda has been taken, Bree leads a small group to the raiders base to rescue him. A rescue that will reveal to Yoda the dark consequences of his involvement.
The Story: An intense and thought provoking story from Cavan Scott. The plot does a great job of expanding on Yoda as a character while also giving him some obstacles that are not easily overcome even with his wisdom and skills. I like the level of vulnerability Yoda is dealing with in the story and look forward to seeing how he deals with the consequences of his intervention.
The Art: Leon delivers some vibrant, beautifully detailed visuals throughout the issue. The art perfectly complements the tone of the story and its characters.
