The Rundown: A familiar face returns as Jabba the Hutt celebrates.
The Crimson Dawn holds a special event, and invites the galaxy’s major players to a special auction. Meanwhile, Boba Fett confronts a fellow bounty hunter as he determines a way into the Crimson Dawn’s fortress. Once inside, he recruits two strangers for assistance. Later, Boba Fett faces unexpected enemies. He must then determine how to proceed.
The Story: Several groups from the Star Wars universe collide in the second chapter of this limited series. However, I am most interested in the Crimson Dawn. As this particular tale surrounds Boba Fett, I can’t help but wonder if the crime syndicate will be featured in any of the upcoming Disney+ shows. Also, I’m curious as to their leader’s true motives. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
The Art: This issue is filled with detailed drawings that come alive on the page. The palette is inspired by watercolors and creates the perfect tone for the story being told. Each page is interesting. And many of the panels have eye-catching backgrounds. Overall, I found the artwork to be engaging and transportive.
