The Rundown: Porter takes on a gang of mercenaries as Barash learns the shocking truth.
The mercenaries have begun bombarding the city and Porter finds himself facing off against their leader. At the same time, Barash encourages the queen to open the gates and give them nothing to attack. After Porter defeats the mercenary leader, she escapes and decides to kill her partner. A move that will give the mercenaries free reign to take whatever they want.
At the same time, Barash discovers the shocking truth behind the royal marriage and what the prince and princess have been planning. A truth that will have her question her connection to the force.
The Story: Soule brings this story to a satisfying conclusion filled with surprises that I did not expect. The plot is engaging and moves in ways that kept me connected to both the characters and their internal as well as external conflicts. I continue to enjoy the world being created for this character and look forward to more adventures with Porter Engle. An enjoyable read for fans of the characters and the High Republic era.
The Art: Morales delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. From the action to the emotional moments, the art is a perfect complement to the story.
