The Rundown: Bell Zettifar gets a new rank and a new mission that will reveal another weapon created to stop the Jedi.
After the fall of Starlight Beacon, Bell Zettifar chooses to remain on the planet determined to find his missing friend Burryaga. After finding the missing wookie, both Padawans heed the call to return to the Jedi temple as the Council and the Republic work on their plans to stop the Nihil.
As Bell’s frustration with both the loss of his friends and their inability to act grows, he is given a new rank and sent on a mission with Burry to help a planet after a recent Nihil attack. A mission that will quickly turn into a trap for the Jedi.
The Story: Soule crafts a story that is equal parts frustrating and engaging. You feel the frustration within Bell Zettifar and that comes out in ways that connect the reader to the character and his circumstances. There is a great deal of tension in the story and Soule does a fantastic job of bringing that tension out as well as crafting great action and thrills that make me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Morales delivers some great art in the issue. The visuals beautifully match the tense, action-packed nature of the story.
