The Rundown: The Jedi fight to stop a deadly alliance before it can begin.
Still reeling from the death of her mentor, Jedi Master Keeve Trennis finds herself thinking on his death whenever she tries to meditate. When she is called by Elzar to deal with a potential alliance between the Nihil and the Hutts, she and the Republic forces she’s with make their way to where the Hutts are meeting.
Unfortunately, the Nihil envoy has arrived first and as the Republic forces battle in the skies and on the planet, the Jedi find themselves compromised by the Nihil and their new weapons as a dark and familiar face returns.
The Story: Scott crafts a new and dark story for the Jedi following the destruction of Starlight Beacon. I like seeing the Jedi have higher stakes to deal with in this issue and how their connection to the force is compromised. It makes the story grittier and more suspenseful as you wonder if any of them can survive the threat of the Nihil. A strong return that has me excited to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Anindito and Towe deliver fantastic art in the issue. The character moments are filled with great detail and emotion while the action is visually thrilling and exciting throughout.
