Deron GenerallyX-Wing pilot and Resistance fighter Poe Dameron’s past will be explored in a new novel from writer Alex Segura.
Alex Segura is a novelist and comic book writer known for comics like Archie meets the B52’s, The Black Ghost and more. His novels include Miami Midnight, Dangerous Ends and Silent City. Segura describes the novel as “an epic, action-packed crime novel in space.” Segura continues in his interview with THR that his novel will include; “Heists, double-crosses, space battles, surprises, and deadly odds. Just what you’d want to see in a Poe Dameron adventure… and if you left the theater after seeing The Rise of Skywalker with questions about Zorii Bliss, the Spice Runners of Kijimi, and many of the teases you saw on film, you can look forward to them being answered in the pages of the novel.”
The official synopsis of Star Wars Poe Dameron: Free Fall reveals: It’s been a few years since Poe’s mother passed away, and Poe and his father, who was a pilot for the Rebellion, have had more and more trouble connecting. Not sure what he wants to do with his life, teenage Poe runs away from home to find adventure, and to figure out what kind of man he is meant to be.
Poe Dameron is played by Oscar Issac in the last three episodes of the Skywalker Saga including The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. He also lent his voice to the character on the animated series Star Wars: Rebels.
Star Wars Poe Dameron: Free Fall will be released August 4, 2020.
