The Rundown: Leia finds herself facing off against an enemy with a personal grudge.

Believing the refugees from Alderaan to be in danger, Leia and Luke find themselves trapped. Leia finds herself facing down former Imperial officer Zahra who was last left for dead in a failed battle against Leia and her friends. Luke finds himself trapped in an escape pod and drifting through space.

With revenge on her mind, Zahra decides to bring Leia to the empire, but trying to take Luke as well becomes a bigger problem for Zahra and the criminals she now works with. A problem that will lead to a violent resolution and a new mandate from Leia.

The Story: Soule crafts an interesting plot that resolves some elements of Leia’s story that needed to be addressed. I like the return of Zahra and how her story was handled. There was some palpable tension throughout the story and I really enjoyed the progression of the action and plot. There are definitely elements of this story that inform decisions Leia will make in the future and I like seeing the seeds of those decisions planted in this arc.

The Art: Morales delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The visuals are as thrilling as the story.
