The Rundown: The trial of Lando continues, but the Alliance is down a kidnapped leader.
As the Rebel Alliance continues the trial of Lando Calrissian, Mon Mothma has been kidnapped and the fleet is preparing for emergency contingencies should she be compromised. The trial continues with damning testimony from Leia, but Lando’s advocate is able to hold her own.
As the investigative team continues to look for evidence, they discover the truth about Mon Mothma’s abduction and what he captors want. As Lando continues to think about his fate, something in the recording forces a memory that could be the key to bringing the rebel leader back alive.
The Story: I find myself having feelings of ambivalence towards this storyline considering we know the outcome to a degree, but the story is still entertaining at moments and the Mon Mothma kidnapping is what makes it appealing. It adds some much-needed suspense to what is essentially a courtroom drama. It also adds some interesting drama to the story that made me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Musabekov delivers beautiful art throughout the issue and has a wonderful sense of detail both in characters and ships.
