The Rundown: Low on supplies, the Rebels begin a dangerous mission to search for a legend.
Even after their recent victories, the Rebel Alliance is still in trouble. With their supply chain from Crimson Dawn cut off, they are running low on everything including fuel. Holdo calls Leia, Chewie, Luke and Lando to a vacation planet to give the rebels time to recharge, but also to acquire something that could help the alliance. Something that will pit Holdo against an Imperial officer looking to acquire something interesting for the Empire.
After losing the auction for a Nihil ship from the High Republic era, the rebels break into the hanger and steal the device they’re looking for. A device that will bring them to an unknown and possibly dangerous region of space only talked about in legends.
The Story: An exciting, thrilling and fun adventure from Soule that does a great job of moving the main story forward while also touching on the High Republic era as well. I liked the subtle touches throughout the story that tie in the different eras of Star Wars from the original films to the sequels and more. The plot looks like it is going to expand the lore in ways that make me intrigued.
The Art: Rosanas brings some beautiful style to the visuals throughout the issue. I love the contrast between the different locations and how detailed the art is.
