Star Trek will return to Comic-Con this year with new panels as part of this year’s Comic-Con@Home.
According to StarTrek.com and Deadline, the cast and crew of new and upcoming Star Trek series will “boldly go” forward with remote appearances by the cast starting July 23rd.
Star Trek: Picard will headline the event with a panel featuring the cast including Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill (Dr. Agnes Jurati), Isa Briones (Dahj/Soji), Evan Evagora (Elnor), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), and Santiago Cabrera (Cristobal Rios). Guest stars including Brent Spiner (Data/Dr. Soong), Jonathan Del Arco (Hugh), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) and Jonathan Frakes (Will Riker) will attend as well as Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) who is returning for the show’s second season.
Star Trek: Discovery will beam aboard the @Home experience with a panel featuring stars Sonequa Martin-Green plus Michelle Yeoh (Philippa Georgiou), Doug Jones (Commander Saru), Anthony Rapp (Lt. Commander Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Ensign Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), Mary Chieffo (L’Rell), and Tig Notaro (Commander Jett Reno). The bridge crew of the Discovery will be on hand as well including Emily Coutts (Lt. Detmer), Oyin Oladejo (Lt. J.G. Owosekun), Patrick Kwok-Choon (Lt. Rhys), Ronnie Rowe Jr. (Lt. J.G. Bryce) and Sara Mitich (Lt. Nilsson). The cast will give a table read of the 2019 episode “Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2” and will feature Alan Van Sprang (Captain Leland), Jayne Brook (Admiral Katrina Cornwall).
Trek’s newest series in development Strange New Worlds will be part of the read with Rebecca Romijn (Number One), Anson Mount (Captain Christopher Pike), and Ethan Peck (Spock) joining the Discovery cast along with EP and co-showrunner Michelle Paradise and EP Olatunde Osunsanmi.
Star Trek’s animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks will join the Trekverse panel featuring the voice cast of the series including Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome, Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid, Ensign Tendi, voiced by Noël Wells, and Ensign Rutherford, voiced by Eugene Cordero, as well as the ship’s bridge crew including Captain Carol Freeman, voiced by Dawnn Lewis, Commander Jack Ransom, voiced by Jerry O’Connell, Lieutenant Shaxs, voiced by Fred Tatasciore, and Doctor T’Ana, voiced by Gillian Vigman.
