The Rundown: The Enterprise discovers how dangerous the Scorpius Run can be.
The Enterprise has been entered into the Scorpius Run and Pike tries to both keep the ship in the race while also finding a way to rescue his crewmembers on the competing ships. Una tries to assert to her Captain that they need her help and Spock discovers that his new ship needs his skills.
As the race continues, one of the ships falls behind and the Enterprise is punished for trying to help as the rest of the contestants discover the dangerous creatures inhabiting the sector.
The Story: Johnson and Parrott craft an engaging and exciting story in this issue. Everything in the story is exciting and there are some great character moments for Una and Spock on the alien ships. The race is a fun, raucous ride filled with plenty of thrills. I look forward to seeing where this exciting story goes next.
The Art: Hernandez delivers some fantastic art in the issue. I love the visual style and how brilliant it looks for the world of Star Trek.
