The Rundown: The universe has been reformed and the only constant is the will of Lore.

Lore has changed the very nature of the universe and holds all of the power a god would. Unfortunately, even the seemingly perfect universe he rules over has cracks. Cracks that he is desperate to seal. On Earth, Ben Sisko and his family work for the glory of Lore and his empire before he is attacked by Kahless who uses the attack to break him out of Lore’s control.

On the other side of the galaxy, Worf and his son Alexander hunt down the leadership of the Maquis Nymira, Kira and Tasha Yar. A task that has one of Worf’s man, Julian Bahir, asking questions about their mission. Questions Shaxs will answer in blood. As Lore continues to torture Data into creating his new universe, forces gather to take on the entity as they prepare to free someone who could help their cause.

The Story: Admittedly, I’ve been on the fence about this event. Personally, I thought it would be a cameo fest that wouldn’t have enough meat to sustain an actual story. Thankfully, I’ve been wrong so far. The story is interesting and has some great character moments. The cameos weave into the story well and I liked some of the surprise ones a lot. The story has some great pacing and suspense and culminates in a surprising and interesting cliffhanger ending with a collaboration I didn’t expect and am eager to see explored.

The Art: Tinto delivers some impressive art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and how the technology is both new and familiar. A great looking issue.
