The Rundown: Troi wants the crew to celebrate fear, but a ghost from the past threatens the entire ship.
Counselor Troi is considering the nature of fear among the crew and decides to request that the Captain allow them to celebrate fear based rituals from across the galaxy including Halloween. As Data begins researching the celebrations, something hits the ship.
In the holodeck, crew members discover an entity hiding within. An entity with a history of creating terror for the Enterprise. An entity that has decided to spread more fear throughout the ship and among her crew.
The Story: An entertaining yet ultimately silly Halloween story that pits the Enterprise crew against one of the original series goofier antagonists. The story has some fun elements and an engaging premise. I like the mix of horror elements and classic monster movie tropes and the story does end on an interesting cliffhanger that makes me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Eisma crafts some visually engaging art in the issue. I enjoy the visual style a lot and the details throughout the issue.
