The Rundown: An injured Worf must deal with two unexpected crew members and a dangerous alliance.
Worf is gravely injured and the unknown Orion smuggler they’ve brought on board is the only one keeping him alive. At the same time, Spock continues to question his decision to rebuild Lore and give him autonomy as the rest of the crew tries to decode the transponder signal that will help them find the Red Path.
As the Defiant crew looks for answers, they discover someone that might be connected to events and Spock and Lore go after him and into a potentially dangerous trap. At the same time, Worf and the Defiant are offered assistance by a familiar and dangerous face.
The Story: An entertaining and tension filled issue from Cantwell. The story takes some interesting twists and having it told from Spock’s perspective is a great touch. There are some great character moments throughout and the tension between the characters continues to be entertaining as a reader. I love the action in the issue and look forward to seeing where the story goes next.
The Art: Unzueta delivers some great visuals throughout the issue. The tech looks great on the page and the characters are beautifully designed.
