The Rundown: The Defiant goes on a mission to right a personal wrong while Worf takes his son on a dangerous journey.

The crew of the Defiant are still considered mercenaries to the Federation so their mission to return home becomes difficult. As captain Torres fails to reach her husband, she gets a visit from Miles who needs her help to stop the proliferation of a weapon in the gamma quadrant that he had a hand in creating. As the Defiant moves into a system infected with these weapons, it finds itself between both the Cardassians and Section 31.
At the same time, Worf and his son Alexander travel to a planet in the Klingon system in order for Alexander to participate in a ritual that could either restore his honor of kill him. A ritual that will make him face his actions along the members of his house as both father and son deal with the reality of their strained relationship.
The Story: Cantwell creates an interesting story in this issue. I like how both sides are done both in pace and theme. Cantwell is delivering some great moments in this issue especially in the story with Worf and Alexander. I like the drama of that story a lot and how it connects to the history of the character. The Defiant storyline is also interesting and teases some great conflict between the crew and Section 31.
The Art: Unzueta delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. The visuals are beautifully detailed and deliver on the drama of the story with the imagery.
