The Rundown: Worf and crew fight to defend an alien planet while an old friend looks for a way to help.

Spock continues to deal with incarceration and torture in order to get closer to a pair of Romulan scientists being kept in the same facility. Sela pays him a visit in order to make sure that he completes his mission to determine why her father wants this small planet across the border in the Delta Quadrant.

On Antara, Worf, Ro and Torres discuss the impending Romulan invasion of the planet and what the Romulans could possibly want with a planet previously devastated by the Borg. At the same time, Spock makes contact with the scientists and Miles O’Brien decides to find and rescue the Defiant.

The Story: Cantwell continues to craft an interesting story in this arc. There is a great buildup of tension throughout the story as each part of the story delivers emotionally. I like the transitions between each individual arc and how the story serves each of the characters well. I like not knowing where Sela’s true loyalty lies and how Worf is continuing to gain the respect of Ro and Torres.

The Art: Unzueta delivers some great art in the issue. The characters look amazing and I really love the visual style of this issue.
