The Rundown: Data goes on a dangerous personal mission and recruits friends to help him.

In the wake of Day of Blood, Data is concerned that his inability to stop his brother Lore from escaping will herald a new and bigger threat since the android has taken over the remnants of the Klingon cult. He decides to resign his commission to find his brother, but he will need help.

Traveling to Earth to recruit Miles O’Brien, the pair find themselves becoming the targets for an assassination attempt. An attempt that Data will get some surprising help from Geordi to thwart. The three escape the planet, but find themselves in the belly of the beast when they finally confront Lore and his forces.

The Story: Kelly and Lanzing craft an interesting and entertaining story in this issue. I’ve been looking forward to the confrontation between Data and Lore and I like seeing Geordi and Miles become part of the adventure. There is great dialogue throughout the issue and I love the interactions between the characters. The story takes some dark and interesting turns throughout the issue and I look forward to seeing how the story connects with the bigger arc.

The Art: Stott delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the issue and how beautifully detailed the imagery is.
