The Rundown: Sisko wakes up on an ancient Bajor and proceeds to craft a new future for himself and the planet.
After the Theseus entered the wormhole, the ship and its crew have disappeared from reality and the only one who remains and remembers what happened is Sisko who wakes up on ancient Bajor. After finding a sense of peace and community, Sisko finds himself inspiring the people of the planet in different ways.
As the years progress and Sisko realizes that he is not aging, he breaks away from the community he helped to thrive until he is confronted by a young Bajoran who inspires him to think differently about his place on the planet and what he can do with the time he is there.
The Story: Kelly and Lanzing create an interesting and engaging story in this issue. I really enjoy the expansion of Sisko’s role with the Bajorans and how it inspires the culture. I like the pain Sisko is dealing with and how it enhances the drama of his choices. The story is taking some intriguing turns and is teasing some great things I want to see explored as this series goes on.
The Art: Fowler delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The visuals are fantastic and I love the tone of the art and how it informs the mood of the story.
